KrX Alpine Facial Protocol

Oxygenate → Circulate → Cool → Calm → Hydrate → Glow

Oxygenate → Circulate → Cool → Calm → Hydrate → Glow

The Alpine Facial is a contrast therapy treatment designed to energize the skin through controlled stimulation followed by deep cooling recovery. Inspired by the restorative effects of alternating heat and cold, this professional protocol begins with an oxygenating carboxy treatment to increase circulation and revitalize tired skin before transitioning into an intensely cooling cryotherapy phase that calms, hydrates, and restores balance.  Sound familiar? We also have a Fire + Ice Facial which is our OG, and we still love, but this facial takes it one step further.

This facial is ideal before events, after travel, or anytime the skin feels dull, or fatigued.

Why Contrast Therapy?

Alternating warming and cooling sensations has long been used to stimulate circulation while encouraging recovery. The treatment begins with an oxygenating phase that helps increase blood flow and support healthy cellular activity. Once circulation has been stimulated, the cooling phase helps calm visible redness, replenish hydration, and leave skin feeling refreshed and comfortable. Together, these opposing phases create a balanced treatment that both energizes and soothes the skin.

STEP O1

Step one is cleansing the skin. We recommend KrX's Pre-Cleansing Oil as a first cleanse, followed by KrX's Glow Cleanser.   You can honestly use any cleanser you like though.

STEP O2

The treatment begins with the KrX Carboxy Therapy Facial Kit, an advanced oxygenating treatment that works through the Bohr Effect.

As the mask is applied, the body responds by releasing oxygen into the surrounding tissue. This oxygen-rich environment supports healthy circulation while encouraging natural cellular renewal, making skin appear brighter, smoother, and more revitalized.

Beyond the visible glow, this oxygen surge helps support important biological functions including cell regeneration, angiogenesis, and protein synthesis, all of which contribute to healthier, more resilient skin.

STEP O3

Apply KrX's O2 Booster Ampoule to the skin (we recommend 4 pumps). When applied immediately post-treatment, this oxygenating ampoule activates on contact, releasing micro-bubbles that intensify oxygen delivery to the tissue. The result is a direct amplification of what carboxy already initiated — deeper absorption, faster recovery, and a visible lift in radiance.

STEP O4

Apply KrX's O2 Booster Ampoule to the skin (we recommend 4 pumps). When applied immediately post-treatment, this oxygenating ampoule activates on contact, releasing micro-bubbles that intensify oxygen delivery to the tissue. The result is a direct amplification of what carboxy already initiated — deeper absorption, faster recovery, and a visible lift in radiance.

Following the oxygenating phase, the skin transitions into recovery with the Cryofacial Icy Mask.

Beginning as a fine powder and activated with cold water, the mask transforms into a silky treatment that delivers an immediate cooling sensation as it sets on the skin.

Cooling helps visibly reduce redness while providing welcome relief for skin that feels warm, irritated, or sensitized. This makes it especially beneficial following exfoliation, professional treatments, sun exposure, or whenever the complexion appears reactive – it doesn't just have to be used in this facial – this should be a backbar staple!

STEP O5

The treatment concludes with KrX Cryofacial Icy Cream, a lightweight finishing moisturizer designed to extend the cooling experience while sealing in hydration.

Powered by innovative Menthyl PCA technology, the cream delivers a gradual, long-lasting cooling sensation that feels refreshing without the intensity often associated with traditional menthol ingredients.
