Have you noticed that a change in seasons naturally invites us to shift our space + treatment menu?

As we move into fall, changes in temperature, humidity and indoor heating can leave skin feeling dry. This is a time when we like to focus on thoughtful exfoliation while beginning to layer in more replenishing, barrier-supportive products.

For those who love offering a seasonal facial, we created an Autumn Ritual — a pumpkin + probiotic facial designed to gently resurface, replenish + restore skin as the seasons change.

A Quick Look

Pumpkin ferment and willow bark provide gentle resurfacing while a cooling pumpkin gelée mask, facial massage and deeply replenishing layers leave skin refined, replenished + balanced.

Why Pumpkin?

Pumpkin feels perfectly at home in an autumn facial, but its place in this facial goes beyond the season.  The KrX Pumpkin OxyGlow Cleanser combines pumpkin ferment with willow bark for a cleansing step that helps gently refine the skin. Its oxygenating texture also creates an experiential second cleanse—something a little unexpected within the ritual.

We follow with the KrX Enzyme Cleanser, allowing it to rest on the skin for five minutes as an enzyme mask. Together, these steps create our resurfacing portion of the facial without making aggressive exfoliation the focus of the treatment.

From there, we slow things down.

an Autumn Ritual

01. First Cleanse — KrX Pre-Cleansing Oil

Warm the Pre-Cleansing Oil between the hands or in a towel cabby before applying. Massage over the skin to begin dissolving makeup, SPF and surface buildup before removing.

02. Second Cleanse — KrX Pumpkin OxyGlow Cleanser

Apply the Pumpkin OxyGlow Cleanser and allow its oxygenating action to activate on the skin before thoroughly removing.

03. Enzyme Mask — KrX Enzyme Cleanser [optional]

Apply the KrX Enzyme Cleanser as an enzyme mask and allow it to remain on the skin for approximately five minutes. Remove thoroughly – preferably with an ultrasonic skin spatula.

04. Facial Massage — KrX Fermented Oil Massage Cream

Apply the Fermented Oil Massage Cream and move into an intentional facial massage.

Rather than treating massage as a transition between steps, give it space within the facial. Work slowly through the neck, jaw, cheeks and facial contours, incorporating rhythmic movements and intentional pressure.

Remove the massage cream completely before continuing.

05. Replenish — Milk Boosting Serum

Apply Milk Boosting Serum to begin layering hydration and replenishment back into the skin following the resurfacing steps.

6. Mask — KrX Pumpkin Gelée Mask

Apply an even layer of Pumpkin Gelée Mask to the face, avoiding the eye area.

Its cool gelée texture creates a welcoming contrast to the warmth and movement of the massage that came before it.

07. Warming Eye Ritual — Kin Warming Eye Mask

Place a Kin Warming Eye Mask directly over the eyes. Do not apply the Pumpkin Gelée Mask underneath or over the eye mask.

The combination of the cooling gelée mask and gentle warmth over the eyes creates one of our favorite sensory moments of the ritual.

08. While Masking — Hand + Arm Massage

Allow the client to settle into the masking portion of the facial while performing a hand and arm massage.

09. Finish — Pfecta Sitosterol Cream + SPF

Remove the Pumpkin Gelée Mask completely and finish with Pfecta Sitosterol Cream [or moisturizer of choice] followed by your preferred SPF.

We love a seasonal moment. We just don't believe the season needs to dictate every product in the protocol, so if you want to switch anything out, go for it!

Pumpkin is obviously the thread running through this ritual, but the larger intention is thoughtful skin support. Gentle resurfacing is followed by massage, hydration, replenishment and a supportive products—creating a facial that feels distinctly autumn without losing sight of what the skin actually needs.

Use the protocol as we've created it, or allow it to be a starting point for your own seasonal offering.
